AJ bids to win again at Fakenham

Ajays Ways winning at Fakenham in January

BDR horse 'AJ' goes for the team at the Norfolk track of Fakenham where he scored in January this year.   Only 6 line up and all the horses that were entered run.

Its a 3m 5f  at 4.25 the Hellesdon Leather Handicap Chase 0-105. Interesting race with all having questions to answer.

The six that run.

Wake Up Early......Richard Newland

Hasn't pulled up any trees in Ireland without convincing  (especially jumping).. first start for a new yard. Would need to improve.

Ex'odela..... Jamie Snowden

Well treated on his hurdle form but not great of late and is 0-4 over fences has had a wind operation but will need to turn things around to win this off top weight. capable.

Vinnie's Getaway......Clare Hobson

Won last summer at Perth for Olly Murphy but has failed to score for new connections...tumbled in the weights hard to win with but has won of 8lb higher.

Goodnight Charlie.....Caroline Fryer

Headgear back on an inconsistent type but has won on track and trip (New Years Day) and beat Sackett who competes again here by 10 lengths.

Sackett....Neil King

Won at the track last year but over a shorter trip, been a poor season so far and although capable on his day it looks more unlikely than the likely winner.

So Hopefully our own horse can score again here with Brain Hughes on board who knows a thing or two about winning. The trip is a big question mark but by Stowaway I think we can stay and be in the mix once more.

Timeform thinks Ajay's Ways will win so I hope they are right.

Looking forward to catching up with many of the team.....

Baby Ben is fine after a unseat at Taunton. He is an enigma when the penny finally drops I think he will hose in...

Huntingdon winner Hillfinch will head to Ludlow either on the 23rd or 28th of March and should be our next runner after AJ..... She is in great form at home. Our unnamed Beat Hollow filly is going great guns and is cantering with trainer Stuart Edmunds. Our 2 Five Yr Olds at Martins Hill Doc El & Billy Boi Blue should debut next month in a bumper.

Billy Boi Blues Sister and Aunt of our yearling filly (out of Mystic Sky) Martello Sky ran a great race at the festival this week. She is 8 wins from 13 races so delighted we are well represented in this family.
