Ebselysees winning for the BDR syndicate trained by Noel Williams ridden by James Davies. Congratulations to her members.
What a great day we had at a packed Huntingdon with a cosy enough 18-1 syndicate winner, this filly is out of a former Aga Khan mare and looks one to back up this success.
Ebselysees ran again since winning with credit on awful Uttoxeter ground in December and will be targeted at Wincanton on the 30th January which will be in a EBF mares qualifier. Final is at Newbury on the 22nd March. Noel has won this race in the past most recently with Largy G, and the 55k pot sits nicely with connections.
We call her Spud..........Ebselysees above is one hot potato for her enthusiastic members, leased from The Blythe Stud. nice filly, so nice we have another from them and again with Noel to train, Ebarana watch out for her.
Billy Boi Blue won well at Wetherby for his owners and the colours, ridden By Kielan Woods over a flight, he couldn't back this up over a fence (debut) at Doncaster latest, we have drawn a line through that run. He can strike again and build on his 3 previous wins. Billy will revert to hurdles for now but we remain confident he is a chaser.
Billy is rated 124 over hurdles and holds an entry at Wincanton on the 16th Jan' & a Pertemps Cheltenham Festival Qualifier on the 23rd Jan'@ Huntingdon is a further option.
Max Comley is a new trainer to the BDR ranks, we have a lovely Soldier of Fortune filly with him, Lady Fortune is a 5yo grey who won her sole PtP in style, that has been franked with the second that day winning a PtP in Northumblerand. (same day we went to Carlisle for Lady's rules debut) Lady Fortune showed well for the majority of the race just tired on awful ground and came 5th, she holds entries and will now go hurdling. Her last run was 15th December and we had a great day.
above some Lady Fortune owners...........
Driftwood Bounty looks a nice horse for the future, now 5 he has had a short break and is in full work, he came a strong finishing 3rd at Newcastle and will be aimed for better ground bumpers this spring.
Driftwood Bounty, purchased as a 3yo store with K&M Racing (Killahena/McPherson) one to follow
We have Lawsky & Bitsnbuckles picking up knocks but they are recovering well and we can see them back soon.
With the BDR syndicate and The Fakenham Race Club (which I help run with David Hunter the clerk of the course) I have been involved with 25 winners which has been so much fun with the owners. We look forward to having many more for our friends and members. We keep picking up new members and it is great to keep growing....owning horses is a hard game and it can, does and will give you knocks but that is what makes the good days even more sweet.
