Back to back winners for BDR with Lilly Pinchin & Josie Abbing victory

Josie Abbing for BDR syndicates winning again

Fantastic day at Fontwell on Sunday 5th with a super winning ride by Lilly Pinchin in the mares conditional jockeys handicap, 2m 5f. Congratulations to her winning owners..... for those keen to read this blog you will know we alluded to a repeat at course and distance for our mare, a race we had targeted as Josie loves Fontwell....so do we. That is back to back winners for the syndicate as Calum won at Bangor a few weeks ago. BDR are summering very well indeed.

Huge respect to Lilly who works so hard at Graeme McPherson's yard,Lilly who broke her back in seven places last spring and with the help of Oaksey house has done really well to get back race fit... Super star herself. Thank you to Lilly, Graeme and all the staff at the yard.

We say a heavy hearted goodbye to Calum Gilhooley he goes to the sale on 8th of September to dissolve a partnership. Its always extremely hard to see them go.. Calum is now at the top of his game and as a syndicate we have always tried to buy younger horses and see them come along so this self funding model like some football clubs do with players sometimes you just have to sell. Good luck to his new owners.

BDR announce a new pension scheme to follow our horses if they retire from racing under the stewardship of BDR, great idea this which came from a internal survey of our ownership and reported in the Racing Post on August the 31st.

Recently the team visited Caroline Bailey for a open morning, smashing day had.... our group enjoyed a tour and work morning finished off by a pint and lunch in the local Red Lion, Thornby. Annie Day is with Caroline and we hope to add more horses in time with the Bailey's.

On the trainer front we welcome Stuart Edmunds to the ranks of BDR with winning pointer MISS MCGUGEN, this 6 yr old is a lovely big mare, she will jump a fence loves to bowl along in the front and is one we really like. We have a few novel ideas for ownership here so please call me 07780 607976.

Stuart a Cheltenham festival winning trainer has a great record with 55% of all his horses having won and a cool 1.2 million in prize money to boot. Stuart is a great guy also to be around and we are really delighted to get a foothold in the yard and hope it is the start of many adventures and winners...
