Josie Abbing (above, credit picture McPherson racing) found the ground to tacky and false at Worcester yesterday 5th July, first runner for BDR there, it was a good day out despite the disappointment of seeing our mare come in 9th, Josie just on this ground couldn't pick off the field like she did the last 3 efforts since being trained by Graeme. A blunder 3 out sealed our fate, but the winner was in a different parish.
We will see how Josie comes out of the race in the coming days and make plans, with the August break in racing she may not be seen until after that. Met some new friends at Worcester which is always nice, great to chat racing.
Calum Gilhooley came first past the post last week at Stratford, hugely exciting then deflating to hear the weight cloth fall off just before the line. DQ unfortunately denying us our 5th winner in a short time of BDR.
Good horse is our Calum, tries his heart out and is incredibly genuine, Greme McPherson has eyes for the 2m 6f 0-135 at Cartmel Saturday week. lets hope the rain stays away for our lad.
Spoke with Caroline Bailey to hear how Annie Day is getting on, BDR reported to her owners that she now has her front shoes on and is being ridden from the field, a nice gentle start for her but she is under way and hopefully will be ready for October.
Baby Ben & Ajay's Ways are now back with Graeme, the young horses are back in the yard now also which is our 4yr old Doc El and Billy Boi Blue. Our new filly out of Tickity Bleue has now been broken in and ridden.
All good and all ready for the next adventure..............
Thanks for reading
