Josie Abbing on to victory for BDR
Graeme McPherson reports Josie grand after her success at Fontwell on May 5th. She may well go back there for another crack at a carbon copy race in 3 weeks. I think Josie Abbing, is even with a likely 7lb rise a well handicapped horse. Do not be surprised to see Josephine in the mix again this summer.
One owner gave her share back to BDR after the move to McPherson yard, shame that however that gives a great opportunity for a new member, Josie would be available on a free lease or a small outlay. contact me Colin on 07780 607976 I think she will improve further, horse has a engine she proved that and was going away at the end, Josie will get 3 miles. She won at 2m 5f Wednesday. Our colours are becoming more known and support continues with new members.
As a group we were pleased to hear of Tom Bellamy's news that he will be no.1 jockey to Emma Lavelle. Good luck Tom, a firm favourite here, great with the owners and am sure he will win for us again.
Calum Gilhooley goes Sunday in a 0-130 hurdle race at Ludlow, winning twice last year and never being out of the frame in good races in his 3 other runs, Calum goes to do his best but its noted this is a hot race and maybe on the short side for the lad. He is sure to improve on his performance whatever.
The form has worked out really well with horses in and around him last season. As I write its raining hard here in Norfolk albeit a long way from Ludlow, Calum doesn't want a deluge to be honest, Good luck to his owners, I think a fun summer with him awaits.
Summering horses will enjoy the change in weather with temperatures soon to rise, about time what a dreadful 6 weeks we have had.
Speaking with some of the team a store horse an quite possibly a cheap/fun HIT purchase is on the cards.
Thanks for reading and I hope you and yours are well.
