Good run! a 3rd with the weight of 12st probably getting the better of Ben in the end in this 9 runner contest at Market Rasen Saturday (15th Oct 22) The owners have been super patient as Ben who was purchased at a 3 year old store in Eire by Graeme (Mcpherson) himself for the syndicate in May 2019

Ben had some tough races over hurdles and just never respected them but fences really seem to make the man we hoped he could  be.

Fantastic effort by the Martins Hill wing of the O'Brien/McPherson Racing team. The owners that came enjoyed chatting with Fergal and the craic was good, we had a super afternoon, was well looked after by the track and a nice lunch. Ben has come out of the race well and we will look for opportunities in a few weeks time.

Shiyrvann had a third run at Fakenham he will now be given a mark on Tuesday maybe we give him a slight break, check a few things and see where we are, he is a young horse and is open to improvement I would hope.

On the theme of Stuart Edmunds we may side step the race at Worcester this coming Wednesday (Tickity Amber) there is a race at Aintree (mares only) a week today, hopefully we go there. A drop of rain would be very welcome.

(Update Tickity runs at Worcester tomorrow as rain landed)

Hillfinch is planned for Bangor on Dee on the 25th October, She is well and we hope we can build on her 2 wins last season, a smart type, we love her.

Billy Boi Blue is another pencilled in for the end of October in a bumper at Ascot, he is a nice horse and we are excited for the season ahead, super family. The dam Kentucky Sky hasn't produced a bad  off spring yet. We have the Niece a Yeats ex Mystic Sky at Elm Tree Stud with Louise Kemble, purchased as a foal she is developing well and we enjoy seeing her grow.

Annie Day with Ben Case is edging closer to a run it will be super to see her back, keep everything crossed, Miss Mcgugen has a set back with an infection in her hing led, she is going the right way now. but a slight delay.

Fakenham Race Club who I am really enjoying being a part of, won with their first runner, this is a Fakenham club aimed at the annual members to have runners at the home track, Allo Allo was triumphant to jubilant scenes for the members last Friday, The second runner of the day came 3rd Conceroe.

What a super start!!

The race club is a new idea with 2 horses leased for the season with one fee of just £480, we communicate via the Racing Manager app to the members and have owners days at the yards, member areas at the track and started with a winner, hopefully another soon, some members this is the first introduction to ownership so its great to be a part of something so successful. max of 110 members and we are nearly full, contact me on colin@fakenhamracecourse.co.uk for more information.
