BDR plan to build on 6 wins so far this season, We aim for double digits next

Doc El

Doc El has been frustrating for his owners with a final roll of the dice we have checked him in with Stuart Edmunds, maybe a change of gallop will be easier for him to handle.

However more positive news Billy Boi Blue is close to debuting for the colours and this well bred gelding looks potentially a nice prospect for the team. Watch out for him this April if we can find a suitable bumper.

Ajay's Ways stayed ok in his marathon trip at Fakenham last month, his jumping was just not quite good enough and he lost vital momentum at the business end of the race, however his 3rd earned some place money and he could go to Bangor on Grand National Day (9th April) he can win again.

Hillfinch At Ludlow last Monday ran up to the same rating 100 RPR (Racing Post Rating) as when she won at Huntingdon the time before, however visually looked a little disappointing, not so for me as she was up against more experienced mares plus they were 119 and 130  rated so a decent standard, Stuart will make his mind up to either run again or turn out this twice winning mare off for the season. This mare has earned decent prize money so far. She has won 2 20k GBB races plus her win and place money. Well done to her shrewd owners.

Baby Ben completed at Market Rasen last Wednesday Hooray!! he may get a mark now on Tuesday or the handicapper could need to see him again, I wonder if Ben would respect a fence more than a hurdle and oddly improve for it. Ben needs educating and will settle and improve for all these races.

Josie Abbing heads back to Ireland to go as a broodmare. She has been a great fun horse and the 3 seasons with her has been a pleasure. Winning Twice and knocking on the door many times we will miss her dearly. Thank you Josie for the memories and we look forward to watching your next generation run.

The unnamed Beat Hollow filly may well run in May if she continues to please her trainer, With a group of owners we attended the Fences Farm stables of Stuart Edmunds to watch her work, She goes well. Really was a super morning and with breakfast and several brews a very enjoyable time was had, Thanks to Stu and Trisha Edmunds.

I hope to get something off the flat at Tatterstalls in July to go into training  with Stuart the yard has a great record with ex flat horses, great to see Addosh win at Huntingdon for the Edmunds Racing club and the cheaply bought Krypton Gold winning at Ascot for the Dandum Partnership. (20k Race)

Annie Day is grand she will come back in July for next season and Miss McGugen too, she will come to Norfolk to holiday next week.

Hillfinch will switch from a lease to a straight ownership so if any of the current partnership do not want to carry on shares will be available in this progressive mare who with black type will hold decent residual value as a brood in time as I can see much fun to be had with her.

Was Smashing to see the Graeme Mcpherson trooper Ami Desbois win in a Hunter Chase, what a super horse and to get his head in front again at his grand old age was heart warming, well done the Martins Hill team.

                                                                    Beat Hollow 4 yr old
                                                                   Baby Ben can jump

Ajay's Ways with Brian Hughes won best turned again
