Annie Day entered at Chepstow, let's hope meeting goes ahead.

Baby Ben who came 2nd at Newcastle last week

Baby Ben will now be put away until October when he can start his novice hurdling career,  he showed a good attitude last week and as alluded to all along we didn't think bumpers would be his ideal as he will hopefully make into a staying chaser in time. Store horses are a much cheaper way to get involved in racing however patients is the name of the game which is fine, we have bags of it at BDR and I really hope Bens owners of which I am one (retained a share in Baby Ben) are rewarded here.

Ajay's Ways will now wait for better ground before coming out again unsure if he will be stepped up in trip next time as he seems to get stuck for a bit of toe in a 2 mile contest, he now has a mark of 96 to go into handicap hurdles which I thought was steep enough, hopefully we can be competitive in a hurdle race or two before going chasing next year, I feel fences will show him to better effect as he is a big lad and jumps a hurdle very well but will always lose ground to a more nippy hurdle type.

Loads of rain hitting the country with storm Christoph which is jolly good of him to make us even more soggy, such a shame with Fakenham being called off today, Chepstow inspect on race day tomorrow (20th Jan) I would be surprised if they go ahead but we shall see.

Annie Day is declared to run in the Iron Lady Mares race at the Welsh track 3;50 Chepstow wed- looks a interesting race many of these keep meeting with slightly different results so its hard to get a form line on it. Lets hope Annie Day can run with credit although I wonder if the favourite of Venetia Williams who is on a four timer may be a tough nut to crack, we shall see we go to do our best as ever and keep everything crossed for a bold and safe jumping display.

Josie Abbing is ready but we wait for better ground but loads of options for her. Look forward to seeing our horses in the flesh and meeting up with their owners soon hopefully.

Stay safe and thanks for reading.
